PROFESSIONAL SUBSTRATES

Components of peat substrate (peat mixture):
— Lowland peat according to GOST R 51661.3-2000 (peat for soil improvement);
— Coarse river sand according to GOST 8736-2014;
Advantages of peat substrate (peat mixture)
1. Simplicity in use. Ready-made peat mixtures are available for sale, which do not require special preparation.
2. The presence of useful substances in the composition. The substrates are based on peat, which contains many essential macro- and microelements.
3. Ecologically friendly. Suitable for the production of organic vegetables.
4. Sterility. It is free of bacteria, fungi, harmful chemicals and weed seeds. This makes the material ideal for growing seedlings, which are quite vulnerable to the environment.
5. Moisture capacity. Lowland peat absorbs and retains water well. Ideal for sowing seeds and mixing with other growing materials.
6. Air holding capacity. Roots and beneficial microbes in the root zone require a constant supply of oxygen, which is necessary for respiration and maintenance of basic functions.
7. Looseness. The peat substrate absorbs water well, but does not compact. It can be used independently or added to heavy soils to improve air exchange.
